That's pretty much what MSN for mIRC is, you don't have to use file sending or anything, having features such as file sending there certainly doesnt affect any of the basic, base features.

Can you please type:

/set %msn.debug 1

And then try to connect again, and paste the contents of the messenger window in here after it disconnects.

This will allow me to try and fix the problem.

Yes you are, just a lot of people don't and that's where they go wrong.

Can you type:

/set %msn.debug 1

then try and connect and then send me the contents of the Messenger window. I'll be able to see what's going on then.

Thanks for reporting this problem. I have now fixed this problem, the current version on the site has also been fixed. To solve this problem yourself, please delete line 502 from msn.mrc (it should be sockclose chat. $+ %msn.clickemail ). If you are not comfortable doing this, just redownload MSN fo...

Damn, you noticed! ;) MSNP9 doesn't offer any real advantages over MSNP8. MSNP9 was introduced mainly to enable support for another protocol that is used to communicate display pictures between users. Unfortunately, display pictures will take me a very long time to develop, so that's on hold for the...

Well spotted, it means 6.2 and has now been corrected.

It should connect fine if you upgrade to the latest mIRC.

Version 3.60 of MSN for mIRC has been released, get it from the home page (http://www.burningimage.net/msn).

So, what do you think?! Does it work? Are the new features any good?

The message that appears before you use the block checker should explain it all. If it constantly says "waiting for user to join", then the user might be online, or they might be offline. If it changes to "user has joined conversation", then they are definately offline. The block...

New Version on the way!

I haven't been around for a while, but you may be pleased to know that there's a new version on the way!
