This means that you don't have the correct dll's and such installed with Windows, required for msn for mirc to run.

It's pretty terminal I'm afraid, I was under the impression that all XP and 2k installs had the correct dll's though.

No, it's not possible to use it through Telnet, because you need to send your password over a secure connection.

www.hypothetic.org has good documentation.

mIRC 6.17 has just been released...and it supports SSL connections!

Stay tuned for a dll free version of MSN for mIRC. The new version will work for all users, no more winhttp errors.

Do a search for a file called blip.wav on your PC.

When you find it, put it in c:\program files\mirc\msn.
