well.. can't figure out what seems to be wrong - everything looks normal

Are you using the latest version with the latest mIRC?

If you are, try reinstalling the script exactly as the readme.txt states, with the 'msn' directory inside your 'mirc' directory.

This should not be an issue in the next version.
