Yes, I have just realised that the method that has been used to overcome the MSN password authing problem will only work on Windows 2000/XP.

As far as I can see, there is no way to make it work in mIRC with 9x/ME, but then again I have said this about a few things then found solutions!

I am currently working to solve this problem, bear with me!

I'm haveing the same problem with winxp mirc6.12 except that my system doesn't have IE installed(deinstalled it) but left the common functions.
