MSNP8 protocol ?

Hi
I´m from iceland and we and my friend have this problem.
When we´re signin in it just come: "connecting" but nothing else.
We boath have msn 6 and we´ve done all that said in readme, but is it something that we´ve missed ? maybe we have to dl something else ?
