Trouble connecting

I try connecting and get this

*** Connecting...
*** Authorising via SSL... (this may take a while)
*** Disconnected

No errors, just won't connect. Any ideas?

Oh, running version 3.50, Windows 2000 SP4

Well to anyone else having this problem, it may be unrelated, but I upgraded my internet explorer to version 6 and now it connects fine.
